The Final Notice Fashion Show (Wellington)

The Final Notice Fashion Show was a collaborative event between NL.studios director James Warrender and local designer Henry Calkin, featuring seven designers from across Aotearoa. I had the honour of being the opening designer, showcasing my Master's collection once again after debuting it at Āhua Fashion Week in Auckland. Held in an unfinished studio on Cuba Street, the show embraced a raw, grunge aesthetic and aimed to reignite Wellington’s creative spirit.

This show marked my third city in New Zealand to present my work, following Dunedin and Auckland. Showing in multiple cities has been incredibly important to me, as it broadens the reach of my designs and allows me to connect with diverse audiences. Each city brings a unique energy and perspective, and these experiences have enriched my understanding of how my work resonates with different communities, offering valuable exposure and growth as a designer.

Participating in the Final Notice Fashion Show was a valuable experience, exposing my work to a new audience in Wellington and offering a fresh perspective on my designs. The event highlighted the dynamic and evolving artistic community in the country, and a powerful reminder of the possibilities for creativity and innovation, no matter the location or audience.
